Ahem...I meant that one is far more likely to get interesting anecdotes in India than anywhere else in the world! :-)

@ Mahendra : Thank you for your comments and for coming here to post. I do not think Priyank is any less funny than I am!

@ Priyank : Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

@ Vikram : It seems like a good idea since we have all sorts of people here as well migrants from eastern states, north-eastern states. Foreign students from Africa, Russia and CIS states, Tibetans, Nepalese, Bhutanese, Token white people....Hmmmm. South Indians, Bengalis and of course boring old North Indians. However I am wary of going around the city asking people for permission to photograph them :)

@ Snow : Thank you so much and welcome here. The chai-wala boy had to be herded away!

It would be interesting to do such a photo blog post to compare multi-culturalism in Chandigarh and Toronto. I think while both Indian and many North American cities are quite diverse, the meaning and manifestation of diversity is very different.

For example, take New York and Mumbai. New York has migrants from all over the world, but who come mainly from urban areas of their home countries. Mumbai has people from all over India, most of whom come from rural areas of their home state.

Comment from Priyank's site: Amazing coordination, collaboration, and a fine specimen of teamwork! Good theme, this can lead to many interesting ideas and posts...you guys are very creative.

Addition here: I'll place a bet that your anecdotes surrounding taking these pictures will any day be much more entertaining than anything Priyank will come up with! :-)

Looking forward to more of these posts...
