If you are ever hungry and you have some left over rice from the previous day try making fried rice, its incredibly simple and you do not need many ingredients. I used ham and eggs in this version, if you have some spring onions it is good but otherwise just use some normal onion and a few cloves of garlic. Nothing could really get simpler than that!

I suggest using an iron utensil for stir frying that does not have a very thick bottom otherwise you will not achieve good success on a domestic gas stove. High heat is the key to all good stir frying.

    hi, hvnt seen you in a very long time, hope you are well, wish you had written an email, missed ya…yes, I do this – I learned to do this from the cook at my first PG dig n Guj.
    I did two posts yesterday – pictures of peacocks dancing and one cme right up in front of my room! was so excited. never seen a peacock ever outside a zoo a nd never seen one dance…it is not rendered but you get the moevements.first time also my vid embedding learned to use Youtube :) so many firsts you must be laughing. but I like it when you are cracking jokes. hope to catch up with you soon. stay well. pl kit.

    I make fried rice quite often, but use a lot of veggies and some chicken strips. Its a great healthy and light meal!

    @ Naveen : I know a guy who just orders fried rice and nothing else each time he goes out to eat.
