Chocolate Mousse
What do you do when you have some cream rotting away in the fridge and a pile of chocolate? You make chocolate mousse. Its a simple enough dessert and all you need to do is whisk, mix and refridgerate. So I made two or three nice tall glasses full of chocolate mousse and they are doing well in the fridge. One of the great things about this dessert is that you can make individual servings and if you are having a dinner party or something you can simply serve them after dinner to your guests neatly.
I wanted to add some nice dark Indian rum to the dessert as well but I guess that would be some time later. I added a lot of chocolate and the in actuality the colour of this mousse is far darker than what you see in the photo. Chocolate mousse makes a good combination with strawberries and cherries. If you can lay your hand on such fruit its excellent. Its also good with a bit of whipped cream.
I liked the texture and next time I am going to try to whisk the cream even a bit more and add some butter. Although I skipped the butter part this time. I think the butter would make it even smoother.
